Fixed Bench Leg Assembly
Leg assemblies consist of two 14 gauge channel shaped legs and one each 14 gauge top and bottom channel shaped connecting member, all welded together. Legs are punched with two sets of 5/16” x 1/2”slots for attaching stringers. Knock-outs located at top of leg for attaching electrical outlet. Face of top rail is 2-3/4” with 1-5/32” side flanges. Top rail is punched with three sets of 3/8” x ½” slots for attaching top and five sets of 5/16” diameter holes for attaching end stops. Face of bottom rail is 2-3/8” with 1-2/16” side flanges. Bottom rail is punched with 5/16” x 1/2” slots for attaching shelf or footrest. Actual dimensions are: height 28-5/32” and 32-5/32” and depth 27-5/8” and 33-5/8”.

Plain Adjustment Sleeve
Sleeve consists of 13 gauge steel formed into a channel section. Face of sleeve is 2-3/8” with 1-1/8” side flanges. Height of sleeve is 6-21/32”. Face of sleeve is punched with 6 holes at 5/16” diameter and one 5/16” x 1/2” round end slot. Slot is used for attaching foot plate or for identifying the direction the sleeve is to be inserted into the leg. Different heights are achieved by reversing the leg.

Caster Base Sleeve
Plain adjustment sleeve described above is welded to 2-3/4” x 3-15/16” plate. The plate is 13 gauge with four 13/32” diameter holes for attaching casters. The sleeve is welded with the round end slot up.

Stringer
Shall be made of 16 gauge cold rolled steel. Each end is punched with 3 sets of 5/16” x 1/2” slotts for attachment to leg assembly. Overall height of stringer is 6”. Furnished in three lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”.

Bottom Shelf
Shelf is made from 18 gauge cold rolled steel. It has a 1-1/2” face on all four sides. Front and rear faces have a 1” return flange (90 degrees). Return flanges punched at each end with two 5/16” x 1/2” round end slots for attachment to leg assembly. Overall depth of shelf 13” furnished in three overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”.

Back and End Stops
The stops are made from 16 gauge cold rolled steel. The back stop is a flat sheet with no formation. Overall height of back stop is 4-3/4” and it extends above bench top 3”. It’s punched with two 5/16” diameter holes at each end for attaching end stops and punched at bottom with three 5/16” holes on 12” centers for attaching to bench top. Back stops are furnished in three overall sizes 48”, 60” and 72”. Right and left hand end strops have 1-9/16” flange at rear (90 degrees). Overall height at back is 4-3/4”. End rails are tapered to front to 3-1/4”. Front top corner of end stops are rounded. Back flange is punched with two 5/16” x 1/2” slots for attaching to back stops. End stops are punched at bottom with 5/16” x 1/2” slots for attaching to bench top or leg. End stops are furnished in sets of one back and one left and one right end.

Riser
Riser is made from 16 gauge cold rolled steel. It’s made in three pieces, two uprights and one top. All four sides of riser upright has 1-1/2” face. Overall width of riser upright is 10”, overall height of riser upright is 12”. Two sides are punched with two 5/16” diameter holes. Bottom and top are punched with three 5/16” diameter holes. Riser has top 1-1/2” face front and rear with 1/2” return flange (90 degrees). Each end top is punched with four 5/16” diameter holes for attaching to riser uprights. Riser tops furnished in three overall lengths 48”, 60” and 72”. Overall depth of riser top is 10-1/8”.

Footrest
Footrest is made from 12 gauge hot rolled steel. Has ¾” face on front and rear flanges with depth of 6”. Each end punched with 2-5/16” diameter holes for attaching to left and right brackets so footrest has 6 degree slope. Footrest furnished in three overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”.

Bench Drawer
Bench drawer consists of 20 gauge drawer assembly and 22 gauge drawer case. Drawer operates in and out of drawer case on four steel ball-bearing rollers. Two rollers attached to bottom of drawer case at front and two attached at bottom of drawer at rear. Face of drawer furnished with full width recessed type pull. Face of drawer furnished with knock-out for attaching built-in lock and padlock attachment. Four 5/16” diameter holes punched in top and bottom of drawer case for attaching to bench top and for stacking one drawer case on top of another. Bench drawer, including case, furnished in three sizes, overall dimensions, 16” wide x 20” deep x 6-3/4” high’ 22” wide x 20” deep x 6/3’4” high and 16” wide x 20” deep x 13-1/2” high.

Sliding Tray for Bench Drawer
Sliding tray is made from 20 gauge cold rolled steel. Sliding tray flanged up 7/8”. Overall size of sliding tray for 22” wide drawer is 19-11/32” wide x 8” deep; sliding tray for 16” wide drawer is 13-11/32” wide x 8” deep. Sliding tray furnished with all 6-3/4” high bench drawers.

Attaching Angles for Bench Drawers
Attaching angles are made from 14 gauge hot rolled steel. Angle size is 1-1/8” x 1-1/8” x 33-5/8” or 27-5/8” long. Punched with 5/16” x 1/2” slots on one leg of angle for attaching to steel top and bench drawers. Furnished in two sizes for use with 28” and 34” deep steel bench tops.

Foot Plate
Foot plate is made from 13 gauge hot rolled steel. It is used for anchoring workbench legs to floor and for spreading leg load over more floor area. Punched with one 5/16” diameter hole for attaching to leg and two 7/16” diameter holes for inserting floor anchors. Floor must be drilled for anchoring. Size 2-1/8” x 2-7/8”. Finish, bright zinc plated.

Steel Top
Steel top is made from 13 gauge hot rolled steel. Has 1-3/4” face, front and rear with ends open. Front and rear face punched with 5/16” diameter holes for attaching back stops and trim strips for tempered hardboard kit. Front and rear faces have 1” return flange (90 degrees). Bottom flange punched at each end with three 3/8” x 1/2” slots for attaching leg assemblies. Bottom flange also punched with 5/16” diameter holes for attaching bench drawer angles. Steel tops furnished in overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”. Furnished in overall depths of 28” and 34”.

Tempered Hardboard Kit
Consists of oil tempered hardboard top, two trim strips and mounting hardware. Top is 1/8” thick with holes on both ends for attaching to steel top. Front and rear edge has offset for trim strips. Trim strips are made of 20 gauge cold rolled steel. Trim strip has 1-15/16” face with 3/8” return flange (90 degrees). Front face has 7/32” diameter holes for attaching to steel top. Kits available in lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”. Furnished in overall depths of 28” and 34”.

Composition Bench Top
Top and bottom surface is 62 pound density 1/2” thick resinboard. Core is 1” thick 45 pound density particle board. Edge bands are 1/2” thick, Alder Hardwood on all four sides. Varnish type finish, two coats top and edges and one coat underside. All tops 1-3/4” thick, furnished in overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”. Overall depths of 28” and 34”.

Laminated Hardwood Bench Top
Wood top made from high quality northern hard maple, kiln dried. Made of laminated construction with rails or strips approximately 1-3/4” wide. Tops are made without bolt construction. Bot construction not required since all glue lines are guaranteed. Top and edge surfaces sanded. Top and edges finished with two coats and bottom surface with one coat of varnish type product. Finish clear and moisture resistant. All wood tops 1-3/4” thick high pressure plastic laminate with self edge on all four sides. All tops 1-1/4” thick furnished in overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”. Overall depths of 28” and 34”.

Plastic Laminate Top
Core of 1-1/8” thick 45 pound density particle board. Top surface .050” thick high pressure plastic laminate. Bottom surface .050” thick regrind material. Edges .030” thick high pressure plastic laminate with self edge on all four sides. All tops 1-1/4” thick furnished in overall lengths of 48”, 60” and 72”. Overall depths of 28” and 34”.
